What size are our Playhouses?

You may be wondering about the need for a building permit...
In most municipalities, structures covering less than 100 square feet do not require a building permit. Should you have any questions about requirements in your area, please check with your local municipal office. Should they be required, we can provide permit specification drawings upon request.
How much do our Playhouses cost?

What about delivery? How much does this cost?
Our Playhouses are delivered right to your home. Currently shipping costs are increasing rapidly. We will provide you with the exact shipping cost at the time you place your order. Shipping is expensive, since the Playhouse Kit is crated and weighs close to 2000 pounds (910kg). The minimum cost for shipping is for locations within the Niagara Region - this is approximately $400. Destinations outside the Niagara Region are more expensive. How do the Playhouses arrive - are they fully assembled?
Our Playhouses are delivered to your home as a well designed 'Playhouse in a Weekend' Kit, ready to assemble and paint. (We do offer custom painting as an option for all three styles, along with two siding choices. Your Kit would arrive with the siding installed and painted if you chose these options.)
The Kit arrives complete with all of the required hardware and a well written, easy to follow Assembly Guidebook. Rest assured, the Kit is simple to assemble. Do we offer any of our structures in a lower price range or structures in an adult size?
At Practical Folly we strive to create distinctive durable garden architecture which balances elegant, imaginative design with sound traditional construction techniques. We choose to finely craft our structures using wood, not only for its beauty, but also for its lasting quality. Wood is a relatively expensive material to work with, and this limits us from competing with the plastic structures that are widely available for children.
We want all of our designs to exemplify our mission without compromise, and this process takes a bit of time.
At a future date, with sufficient demand we may introduce adult-sized styles.
